E3: Boozy Book Club- Jan 2021- Origin Story

Our first official "boozy book club episode" includes a great discussion on our January book choice, When We Believed in Mermaids by Barbara O'Neal, the wine bundle for January with Longboard Vineyards and we discuss our origin story: how this podcast was conceived and how our friendship began... woo to the hoo.

Feel free to send us/comment suggestions for exclamations for Georgianna to replace "woohoo" with because it is driving Laura crazy.

Did we skip discussing something you loved in the novel? Start a comment thread below! We would love to engage in more book nerd discussion!

If you are interested in purchasing a kindle, you can check them out on Laura 10/10 recommends them but if you're a "real book" person, we highly recommend seeking out your local bookstore to purchase our book club selections. #shoplocal Georgianna uses Buxton Books in Charleston, SC. Laura uses Lemuria Books in Jackson, MS.

Where it all began, Fat Harrys in New Orleans! (Photo stolen from Google, so don't @ us) Turns out this is the perfect place to stalk your future best friend, but we think you should just talk to them instead of being a creeper.

As we mentioned in this episode, some of the material on this podcast and in the books recommended may include difficult and sometimes triggering subjects. If you or someone you know is in need of help, please use the resources listed at or visit the National Helpline Database for a larger list of free hotlines and resources.

Don't forget to shop our wine bundle with Longboard Vineyards

February's Boozy Book Club selection is The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix. Buy it on Amazon, B&N or where ever you like to shop for books! Now go get reading!

Bottoms up and stay weird,

Georgianna & Laura
